Hello everybody,

This is Chai's friend Blue. I'll be helping out with the blog while Chai is on the trail. I hope he doesn't mind that I introduced myself, but he can edit this entry later if he wants.

Here are the first nine pages of his journal, which chronicle the first week on the trail. Then four more entries, which are from May 8th-11th.

P.S. In the entry for May 11th, I think Chai means Idyllwild when he says that he's in Wrightwood. He shouldn't be in Wrightwood until May 23rd.
